Greg Wilson was born in a swanky seaside resort near Liverpool. His debut in music came as drummer with the Quarrymen, the legendary jazz-funk skiffle group, who later became the legendary jazz-funk moptops The Rutles. He always had a natural ear for music. So much so that the rest of his body split up from his ears due to musical differences in 1977. They then re-joined the rest of his body for a tribute to the Quarrymen tour of the Seychelles in 1980. In between skins duty, he also found time to play records to an appreciative public, at the Wigan Pier, Legends in Manchester and some other places in the sun-filled metropolis that is the north of England. He was also involved in the Streetsounds Electro series and went on to manage Ruthless Rap Assassins, as well as produce several other groups. These days, 'Ringo' combines drum duties with forays into DJing.
